Admission to the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program - UERJ

The Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) is one of the most prestigious universities in Brazil and Latin America. UERJ is a Brazilian public university, and therefore does not charge any tuition/fees* and the student has the opportunity to obtain an advanced academic degree in an University of excellence entirely for free*.

Additionally, for students with outstanding academic records, the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering (PPG-EM) at UERJ also offers the opportunity to apply for scholarships (financial aids).

There are two PPG-EM admission periods per year, one in the end of the year and the other in the middle of the year. Courses require enrollment in subjects (mandatory and elective) and the completion of a thesis, which must be defended by the student to a committee of professors in the field. The average duration of a Masters course is 2 years.

We are looking for motivated and bright students and we accept applicants from all over the world. We have openings for Masters, and Post-Doctoral studies.
